Ellastone Engagement and Community Speedwatch Meeting. |
||
|
This morning, 21st February 2026 PCSO 08880 Sean Elliott, attended a Community Drop-in, at Ellastone Village Hall, along with Staffordshire Police Community Speedwatch. It was a very worthwhile meeting, engaging with locals and the local Community Speedwatch leads, Amanda Hales and Michelle Shaker. They explained how advantageous Community Speedwatch is, and how it worked, and helped local villages and communities. They explained how the volunteers would be trained ( approx three hours ) and how the process worked in helping reduce speeding in Uttoxeter and the local villagers. If you would like to consider becoming a volunteer for Staffordshire Police Speedwatch in the area/village/town you live, go to CSW Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership (SSRP) for further information. This mornings event also gave me a chance to speak to local villagers about any police related concerns or community concerns they may have. The main issue being traffic and traffic related issues. If you ever here about a Police Drop-in, usually on social media etc, its worth going along to meet your local PCSO, raise any crime related issues and concerns you may have, that we can deal with for you, or signpost to a partnership agency.
